  We booked onto the experience really last minute, booked on the Monday to go on the Tuesday. Because of this we ended up in group 5 which is one of the last groups to go down. How they work it is you're allocated a group depending on how much in advance you book. Then when you arrive and get into the venue itself they have rangers down on the beach and when they see movement regarding the turtles they call the first group down. Then on the next movement they call group 2 down etc etc. The turtles are completely unpredicatble so you so need to be prepared to wait a long time. If you're attending with children I highly recommend bringing something to keep them entertained as there is nothing to do while you wait. Group 1 and 2 got called out really quickly and then we had about an hours wait before before we were approached by a ranger and asked if we wanted to go down with group 3 and see the hatchlings making their way to the beach. Of course we went and joined the group down on the shore. We walked about 5 minutes until we reached the nest we were going to see. The ranger who was with us knew so much and was really enthusiastic. Giving us a lot of information about what would happen to the turtles if we weren't there. Especially with all the light polution they go thw wrong way towards the roads. Also the foxes come and dig up the nests and birds as well but with us there guiding them to the water with torches a lot of these things are prevented. When the turtles surfaced we were allowed to touch them for a short period of time and take photos before they were sent on their journey with our help acting as a walkway for them. It is honestly by far one of the best animal encounters I've ever experienced! I would recommend to anyone!

  Awesome experience a must do when visiting. Be sure to book more than a month in advance. Be aware there could be a wait to get to see the turtles
